CPB JOHN HOLLAND JOINT VENTURE
Speedpro completed the initial works on the main Northern Portal at the West Gate Tunnel Project, which needed to be finished to enable the TBM’s to be lowered into the dive structure and assembled prior to commencing their journey’s under the West Gate freeway. These works commenced in March 2020 and involved multiple crews working staggered 24/7 shifts, installing over 2,000T of reinforcement and 13,000 m3 of concrete in a little over 6 weeks, and importantly ahead of program much to the delight of the client.
Scope of works:
- Place and finish 4500m2 of blinding concrete
- 6 weeks of 24/7 works
- Steel fix 2100 tons of reinforcement
- Form, place and finish approximately 4500m2 of structural walls and slabs up to 2m deep a total of over 9,100m3
- Form 900m2 of single sided wall form work at 1m thick, 7m high, steel fix & pour
- Form, steel fix and pour head wall at 41m wide, 21m high and 2.4m thick
